AAA School Safety PatrolTM Lifesaving Award
Who: Patrollers who saved the life of another student while on duty.

How: Patrollers are nominated by their school advisors or teachers. A national review board made up of teachers, law enforcement officers and safety professionals determines eligibility and administers awards.
When: Awards are presented during a special ceremony in Washington, D.C. Award recipients and their chaperones receive an expense-paid trip to the nation's capital including receptions, publicity events, sightseeing activities and an awards ceremony.
Since 1949, some 378 patrollers have been recognized with the AAA School Safety PatrolTM Lifesaving Award.
AAA Patroller of the Year Award
Who: School Safety Patrollers in the highest grade level who demonstrate leadership qualities, safety skills, school involvement and citizenship/volunteerism.
How: Patrollers are nominated by their school advisors or teachers. A national review board made up of teachers, law enforcement officers and safety professionals determines eligibility and administers awards.
