Customs/Passports

Are your papers in order?

That's one question that doesn't have to intimidate international travelers - as long as they are prepared.

Customs
To receive U.S. Customs information on importation and exportation, visit the U.S. Treasury Web site.

Carnets
Carnet de Passages is a customs document required before an automobile may be brought into certain foreign countries, including many Latin and South American countries.

The International Camping Carnet is an identity card that provides access to campgrounds owned or operated by clubs affiliated with AIT and FIA. It guarantees payment of campground charges and some proprietors accept it in lieu of a deposit. Other advantages include discounts on campsite fees, reservation priority and possible permission to camp in state forests.

Passports
To receive U.S. passport information or an application form, contact your local AAA club, or visit the U.S. Department of State Web site.
