Car Buying/Maintenance

50 million members depend on AAA to help with their automotive needs.

They trust that AAA road service professionals and service centers will treat them fairly and professionally. As such, AAA has a strong belief in educating our members and the general public about things like:

  • See 2007 picks for "family friendly" vehicles.
  • Maintaining Your Vehicle - AAA can be a valuable resource for keeping your car in tip-top shape including more than 7,400 authorized AAA repair centers.
  • Right to Repair: Whose Information Is It?- By monopolizing key vehicle data, manufacturers are taking away people's "right" to have their vehicle repaired where they want. Limited choice inhibits competition and ultimately hurts consumers. Read what AAA is doing to change this alarming trend.
  • Buying a Safer Car - Free guide that provides crash-test ratings and safety features on most new cars, trucks, sport utility vehicles and vans.
  • Safe Cars for Kids - Free guide that provides vehicle crash-test ratings as well as safety features just for kids. AAA also provides lots of helpful information on purchasing and installing seats that are appropriate for your child's age and size.
  • Fuel Consumption - AAA's tips for figuring driving costs and daily fuel prices.
  • Annual Car Care Month - Each October, clubs across North America observe National Car Care Month by distributing information on vehicle maintenance practices, holding free diagnostic clinics and offering special promotions in cooperation with local business partners. For more information, contact your local AAA club.
