"Welcoming Your New Driver"
The "Welcoming Your New Driver" brochure series focuses on issues parents and teens face as the new driver in the family moves from the passenger seat to the driver seat. These publications help parents and teens address the responsibilities that go along with driving and clearly define expectations to minimize risk.
The first brochure, Welcoming Your New Driver, is geared toward parents and stresses how they can support and play a significant role in developing responsible driving skills in their teens. Designed for teens, the second brochure -- Becoming the New Driver in Your Family -- enhances teen driving knowledge and increases their understanding of the responsibilities that come along with vehicle ownership and operation. The third brochure, Driving Contracts, offers two driving agreements: the Parent-Teen Driving Agreement and Parent-to-Parent Agreement. These "contracts" are designed to help protect teen drivers, clearly state responsibilities and identify driving rules and regulations.
